Rami’s brother Sami arrived into Bologna last night and this morning we all got together with their parents and drove out over the hills of Fiesole into the town where my mother in law was from to tour a little truffle fair and have lunch together at a local trattoria, everything based around food, everything based around love. When families are international, having “everyone together” may be a once a year occurrence, so we take it seriously, use up every last minute we can together, and get off our phones and computers and take out our cameras instead of our phones and pretend the rest of the world doesn’t exist…that much, anyway.
So just over a hundred words is going to do it for today, because I’d rather spend my time with the people that have shaped the people I love than write another blog that may or may not make a difference. A domani. Until tomorrow. <3
